We weren't intending to be at Waterloo Station in London for any sightseeing reasons. It was just another station to get us where we needed to go. And yet...I am so pleased we stopped there and had time there. I passed by and nearly missed it had it not been for my husband who noticed. I got choked up seeing this and walking away after. Both John and I mentioned how their faces felt familiar to us. I am glad that the thousands of men, women and children from the Caribbean who were part of the Windrush generation are finally being acknowledged for their influence and important contributions to Great Britain. My mom, Miss G, and my grandpa George were a part of this movement of people.
